NWI Radon & Environmental provides safe, long-term solutions to protect homeowners and their loved ones from the harmful effects of radon and indoor air contaminants.

Founder and owner Tim James is an experienced home inspector who has inspected thousands of homes in Northwest Indiana and has performed radon testing in many of those homes. He's met many residents with lung cancer diagnoses without any other risk factors or smoking history, and they all had one thing common – elevated levels of radon in their homes.

Tim and his wife, Laura, started NWI Radon & Environmental, a radon testing and mitigation company, to help homeowners in the area become educated on radon and other air quality issues and give them access to radon testing and a team of knowledgeable, professional, and highly-qualified mitigators who can help them take action to protect themselves and their families by resolving radon and air quality issues within their homes.

With our office located in Crown Point, Indiana, NWI Radon & Environmental serves South Bend, Merrillville, Valparaiso and many areas in Northwest Indiana.

About Our Owners

Tim and Laura James have lived in Crown Point since 2013 and love being residents of the region, as well as local business owners.

They have three daughters - Avery, Dylan, and Haven - who are the light of their lives. When Tim and Laura have spare time, they love spending as much time as possible with their daughters swimming, vacationing at the beach, and cheering them on at their various sports and activities. Tim also enjoys watching professional and collegiate sports, as well as building furniture. Laura is a great cook and baker and you can often find her in the kitchen making something to share with friends and family.
